For some unknown reason this thing won't give me a title?!? So here's my own...
Aspirations...or Craziness
My darling sister Sara managed to find this interesting site, and well it got me started. She made a list of 101 things she wants to do in 1001 days in her blog. So I'm gonna give it a shot, it equates to a little under 3 years. I figure actually writing it down will help, and hey, who doesn't need a bit of a far fetched to do list. So here goes, and be ready because I'm a dreamer :)
Real World Stunts:
1. Take an internship with an actual landscaping company
2. Make over $7.00 and hour at a job that isn't my "lifer job"
3. Live on my own (or with roommates) right out of college
4. Drive a big landscaping truck (150+)
5. Seriously consider incorporating some way to work with kids in some form of job
6. Get a job that is either design, presenting, or managing
A Little more Satisfaction:
7. Find a way to dye my hair and have it hold the color
8. Drop 4 pounds every month for six months
9. Wear makeup at least three times a week for one month
10. Straighten my hair at least twice a month
11. Wear my retainer every night for two months straight
12. Make my heels pretty for at least three weeks straight
13. Let my face heal
14. Work out at least three times a week for two months
15. Wear flip flops in the snow at least once a week all winter long
16. Keep toenail polish touched up for at least one month
17. Buy two new pairs of jeans every year
18. Invest in two pairs of "nice" shoes each year
19. Buy 6 pairs of new earrings a year
20. Get a tattoo
21. Learn to snowboard
22. Keep my truck gorgeous
23. Do a load of laundry at least once a week for six months
24. Keep my college room clean enough that no one will call it "disgusting"
25. Don't throw things when I'm angry for three months straight
26. Eat better meals at school, cook instead of going out so often
27. Buy the purse of my dreams for over $40.00
Because Family Matters:
28. Take my Brother somewhere (out to lunch, rent a movie) at least twice a month when at home
29. Throw out some old old t-shirts
30. Don't let my siblings guilt me into lending large amounts of money (doing it out of the kindness of my heart is okay)
31. Attend dinner at my Grandma Maynard's at least half of the Sunday's that I am at home
32. Attend family functions for my cousins if given at least one weeks notice (while at home)
33. Put flowers on Aunt Ginners grave
34. Take Sam on a walk at least once a week, every week that I'm home
35. Help Brett find a college, apply, and continue schooling
36. Pet the cat at least twice a month, every month that I'm home (not including times when she is in heat)
37. Throw away some of my old collections
They always told me to reach for the Stars:
38. Travel across Europe (and Australia and Greece and maybe Spain) when I graduate college
39. Put away money from each paycheck (after College) to build up some Start Up cash for my business
40. Audition for So You Think You Can Dance
41. Figure out why I'm tone deaf
42. Show my family that being strong and independent are two good qualities
43. Have something named after me
Randomness Always Keeps things Interesting:
44. Ask at least 25 adults how to spell the word caterpillar and keep track of the number that can actually do it
45. Get a promotion at a typical service job
46. Learn to bartend
47. Try at least three seafood dishes (not necessarily my own)
48. Learn to make one excellent quality meal
49. Prove to at least 10 people that dandelions don't technically have to be considered weeds
50. Knit scarves cool enough that people would actually want to purchase them
51. Jump in rain puddles at least ten times a spring (as long as I can find puddles at least ten times)
52. Make a snow angel every winter
53. Actually count nine stars nine nights in a row
54. Watch a scary movie in a theatre
55. Count to 2,500
56. Pick flowers for a friend
57. Make a stranger smile once a day for a month
58. Spread the word about umbrella's evilness
You Can Never Be Old and Wise Unless you are Young and Crazy:
59. Go with someone to a social function I wouldn't typically attend
60. Use my loveseat camping chair on the balcony of our apartment
61. Fit three people on our futon for the night
62. Help a friend in need after a long night
63. Go on a rant in a social setting
64. Sing out loud by myself just for fun at a social setting
65. Attend at least three concerts or shows on campus per year
66. Be a successful leader of the current club I chair
67. Talk to the press and don't sound like a blubbering idiot
68. Wear a skirt or dress on the weekend
69. Kiss someone in the rain
70. Go tailgating with my truck
71. Host at least two get togethers this year for people in my club
72. Find a date for New Years
73. Don't push anyone away
74. Drink wine from a dixie cup under the stars
75. Tell at least one person, what I refuse to tell anyone
76. Tell my best friends my secrets and don't feel like an idiot
77. Get at least one person to eat Canyon pizza off of the ground
78. Teach someone to ballroom dance, not necessarily well (after I have learned from my class)
79. Make drinks one night at my place
80. Go to the beach with my girlies
81. Visit Leah and Renee at least once a year (school) at their respective colleges
82. Call a friend from home at least once a week
83. Sit in one of the first five rows at a PSU football game
84. If we go to a bowl game-GO
85. Go on a cruise
I've Always Been the compassionate One:
86. Give blood
87. Work on a project with Habitat for Humanity
88. Get birthday presents to people on or before their birthday
89. Get a puppy if my apartment allows for one, or at the very least a pet
90. Give someone a hug at least once a week for one month
91. Make 5 handmade gifts a year
"A Love Affair with Knowledge will Never End in Heartbreak.":
92. Read six political books a year
93. Read 20 any assortment of books a year
94. Make the Deans List at least twice in my time left at PSU
95. Go to class without skipping a single class for two weeks straight (each semester remaining at school)
96. Learn to type so that I use both hands the way that I'm supposed to
97. Make more contacts with people within my major
98. Pick up at least two minors
99. Take a random Spanish class
100. Make someone cry in a debate due to my vast amount of knowledge on the subject
101. Introduce a speaker in front of a crowd of more than 5,000 people
